1. Introduction
At Lighthouse Pathways (Lighthouse Pathways), we are committed to delivering safe, ethical and transparent care. To maintain the highest standards for our patients, we ensure that all clinicians and staff declare any interests or activities that could affect the care we provide.
2. What is a Conflict of Interest?
A conflict of interest may occur when a clinician or staff member has another professional role or relationship that could influence, or appear to influence, the care they provide to patients at Lighthouse Pathways.
Examples include:
- Working for another private service that offers similar ADHD or neurodevelopmental services
- Using Lighthouse Pathways's clinical materials, templates or website content in another organisation
- Advertising clinical services with another private provider while also working with Lighthouse Pathways
Working for the NHS does not constitute a conflict of interest.
3. How We Manage Conflicts of Interest
- All clinicians and staff must tell us about any other clinical or professional roles they hold.
- We review any external work to ensure it does not compromise patient care, safety or confidentiality.
- Clinicians cannot use Lighthouse Pathways-owned materials-such as assessments, reports, pathways, text, images or templates-for any external organisation.
- Patients cannot transfer into Lighthouse Pathways partway through an assessment or treatment pathway started with another provider. This helps avoid confusion about who is responsible for their care and ensures safe clinical oversight.
4. Our Commitment to Transparency
We are committed to being open with our patients about how conflicts of interest are identified and managed.
These measures help ensure that:
- Your care is never influenced by external commercial interests
- Your clinician's focus remains entirely on your assessment and treatment while working with Lighthouse Pathways
- All decisions made about your care meet the highest clinical and ethical standards
5. Raising Concerns
If you have any questions or concerns about conflicts of interest or how they are managed, you can contact us at: support@lighthousepathways.co.uk
We will be happy to provide further information.
